Net worth check-in

While Mr. MoneyTalk and I are in the debt soup, we’ve been checking our net worth once every 3 to 4 months. It helps to keep us motivated by seeing that we’re slowly making progress. If you are in a similar situation, I highly recommend you check your numbers periodically to give you that extra boost in debt-payoff.

I headed over to Kiplinger’s Tools & Calculators section and used their What’s Your Net Worth? tool. According to their calculations, our net worth is now at $7,000. Talk about improvement.

We’ll be celebrating our 9th anniversary this August and we’ve never been in the positive in terms of net worth. So, we’re excited about where we’re headed and what that means for us, as well as our kids.

To say that my life has been hectic over the course of the last year is quite the understatement. But, I don’t want to get into it, because there’s too much to cover. I was simply forced to take a brief hiatus from MoneyTalk, but am glad to be back.
