Oprah’s Debt Diet

Moneytalk didn’t get a chance to watch Oprah’s show today on debt diet. Although Beachgirl’s Budget Blog had a good review of the show.

From what we’ve read in reviews, there seemed to be an underlying constant. And that was mindset. Those families who changed, not only actions, but their mindset succeeded. Those that didn’t, well, reverted to the previous way of doing things. This is a key factor in Moneytalk’s support of Dave Ramsey. He teaches people how to make changes from the inside out. The financial counselors that focus simply on the numbers just won’t be successful. Or, we should say, their clients won’t be successful.

Before we head off into a tangent though, head on over to Beachgirl’s Budget Blog for Oprah’s Debt Diet review. It’s a good one.
