Will you be debt free by 2009?
March 6, 2008
Becoming debt free by 2009 was one of our goals later last year. When we got the news that we’ll be adding another member to our family however, our goals changed. Our main goal now is to save up as much money as we can to prepare for the arrival of the baby. If things go well, we’ll simply drop the load of cash to the debt.
After some number crunching, we still won’t be debt free by the end of the year. Although, we’ll be very close, it appears for now, at least on paper, that we will be debt free some time in 2009. All dependent of course on how much income I can bring in as a stay at home mom. If I can bring in a good amount, it’ll be sooner in the year. But, for now, we’re shooting for December of 2009.

Congratulations on the addition to your family. And another congratulations on your journey to be out of debt. I too am working on getting out of debt. I moved my original date up from the end of 2009 to the end of 2008. As you prove here, plans can always change. The most important thing is we keep on with what we know is right. A little later is better then never.
Best wishes
