The Forbes 400 (the 400 most wealthy Americans) top five are all self-made. A lot of people make the misconception that rich people didn’t ‘earn’ their money. Well, these guys did and they are the five wealthiest people in America. Who are they?
1. William Henry Gates III (Microsoft)
2. Warren Edward Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway)
3. Sheldon Adelson (casinos, hotels)
4. Lawrence Joseph Ellison (Oracle)
5. Paul Gardner Allen (Microsoft, investments)
Some you have heard of, others aren’t that well known, but one thing remains true for all five, they started out like you and me, with nothing.
